The Athletic has live coverage of Eagles vs. Buccaneers on Monday Night Football

NFL Week 3 brings us some of the biggest favorites so far this season. The New York Giants are double-digit underdogs to the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday Night Football. The Giants did rally from a 21-point deficit against the Arizona Cardinals Sunday to pick up their first win of the season. Running back Saquon Barkley did injure his ankle late in the game and it may be difficult for him to play on a short week.

The Kansas City Chiefs are favored by nearly two touchdowns at home against a struggling Chicago Bears team. The Chiefs aren’t exactly lighting the scoreboard up either as they haven’t scored more than 20 points in either game so far this season.

The Ravens, Dolphins, Jaguars, Bills, Cowboys and Eagles are all big favorites in Week 3.

After unders dominated NFL Week 1, overs bounced back in a big way on Sunday, going 11-2. Thursday’s game between the Vikings and Eagles also went over.

Road teams continue to shine and show that playing at home isn’t a huge advantage for teams, as they’re now 18-12 this season. Many factors could play into why road teams win more than they used to, but it is something to keep an eye on for the rest of the year. Favorites are 9-5 in Week 2 and 18-12 so far this season.

Chad notes that that is a small total, especially for a game in September that won’t be affected by snow or a hurricane. Most games with totals under 40 don’t open that low, and it is due to weather that the totals drop closer to kickoff.
