Barry Bennell, the former football coach who was convicted of child sex offences, has died in prison.
Bennell, 69, was serving a 34-year sentence at HMP Littlehey in Cambridgeshire.
Bennell, also known as Richard Jones, coached several teams in Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Staffordshire and Derbyshire and spent almost a quarter of a century working in football in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s — including seven-year associations with Manchester City and Crewe.
